Preliminary Call for Papers

 
The Ohio Air Quality Development Authority (OAQDA), its Ohio Coal Development Office (OCDO) and Ohio University's Consortium for Energy, Economics and the Environment (CE3) invite all Ohio researchers to submit papers for the Ohio Air Quality and Coal Research Symposium. This expanded symposium, which combines the annual Ohio Air Quality Symposium and the annual Ohio Coal Research Consortium's Coal Research Forum, will be hosted by Ohio University, December 2-3, 2004, in Athens, Ohio.

The symposium will be held at Ohio University's
new Margaret M. Walter Hall.


Proposed technical topics include but are not limited to:

Hydrogen production from coal Zero-emission power generation GIS applications in air quality
CO2 sequestration and separation Ultra-supercritical power generation Energy and environmental policy
Coal-based fuel cells Advanced combustion Ozone/NOx

Fine particulate matter –
control and monitoring

Mercury and air toxics –
control and monitoring
SO2

Student Poster Competition

The symposium will include a student poster competition and exhibit. Students also are allowed to present papers under the supervision of their advisors. The symposium provides an opportunity for students to meet professionals in air quality and related fields. Please encourage your graduate and undergraduate students to submit an abstract. Awards for the first place student poster will be $300, second $200, and third $100.
